LIQS Showtime

Here are a few beauties I saw at the Long Island Quilter's Society show this weekend. The above is a detail of a large quilt. My Stack and Whacks never looked this good!

The Hoffman Challenge was represented by several wall hangings and many fashions. I fell in love with this one. It says "Spring" to me.

This traditional Burgoyne Surrounded was hand-pieced and hand-quilted by my friend Dot. She had two more in the show, also done by hand. I don't believe she ever sleeps....

Seems like I am drawn to circles lately. I stopped by Pat Yamin's booth and got some circle templates. Can't wait to try them! Have a thing about dots and would love to make some super sized.

Star 'n Stripes

Made this Wonky Star block for my Bee pal Carole. I am crazy for stripes.....and dots. Hope she likes it. I am always having fun with other quilters' requests. Cannot even count the number of bees I'm in now, but they are all wonderful! Are you hooked on bees, too?

But Who's Counting...

My blog is one year old now, but who's counting....Time flies when you're quilting and blogging! Today I am gathering my blocks for my Red & White Snowball quilt (AKA Rubies in the Snow), but I see I am a block short. Maybe it melted in the crazy warm weather we've had this year! Anyway, I am looking forward to making the last one, since the others have been made by my Two's Company bee pals. Thanks again, everyone!

Sweet Cherrywoods

My sweet friend Dot decided to part with her collection of Cherrywoods, and guess who got first pick? Well, I am simply drooling just thinking about my next quilt. You can bet that it will be Amish-ish.

Here is my block for friend Kim. She is making an International quilt with these adorable kids. My little Hawaiian dancer will join hers from China and Spain (below) To borrow a well known phrase...."Aren't they stinkin' cute?"

Finished Fourth

Just finished my fourth page. This Postage Stamp quilt is coming together slowly, but I don't mind a bit. I am loving each and every fabric....sometimes too much. That pink one keeps sneaking into every block! Recognize any of your fabrics here? Stay tuned....more to come.
