Narcissistic?
After my daffodils say farewell, the narcissus appear next door. I believe they are my favorite spring bulb, and I feel they have every reason to love their own pristine beauty! Isn't nature magnificent?

Monday Morning Confession
I have no idea how many hexies I have...or how many more I need. I only know I cannot stop now. I finished another strip at a quilting party last week. But I spied these blue owls and could not resist raiding Ellen's and Monica's stash for my next strip. Is that bird-napping?

Spring Arrives From Another Hemisphere
Spring has been a little late this year, but I don't care.... Maureen just sent me a huge collection of Liberty of London prints from her stash! She lives in Aukland, New Zealand, so these fabrics are now world travelers. I can hardly wait to combine them with my silk collection in my next quilt ...and I am so rejuvenated by these gorgeous flowers that I don't mind putting off gardening for another month or so.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

Is It Spring Yet?
My friend Dot made this sweet little quilt with birds, bunnies, and more. I look out my window and see robins, squirrels, and a rabbit foraging in the snow.
Several days ago my daffodils popped into bloom and I was ready to rake up last year's leaves. I am confused by this weather. I wonder if the Easter Bunny will show up this year!

Glorious Color
Okay, I admit this Forsythia was forced indoors, but it does promise the return to color after way too much white stuff these past months!
More colorful blooms here. These lovely Liberties arrived at my door from Dorothy last week. She is moving back home to England. I am very glad to have a "London Connection" now, although I shall miss seeing her at Metro Mod meetings.
...And I also received some extraordinary fabrics from Cynthia for my Indigo Hexies. They are probably from her Japanese collection.
....And my pal Bernadette just shared some delightful fabrics from her stash for my postage stamp quilt.
I am just bursting with gratitude for all these colorful gifts, and for any signs of SPRING!!!

Another Side Excursion
My Indigo Hexies are still on track, but I have been tempted to take another side trip into the land of silk ribbon embroidery. I was so dazzled by my friend Kim's artistry in this little fan block that I decided to take a class at City Quilter from favorite teacher Judy Doenias. I learned many tricks that aren't available in most books, so I am off and running (in my rocking chair) with these lovely stitches. I will post a photo when I have mastered the technique.

Missing One?
I have ten more appliqued this week. If you notice a gap, it is because I wanted to include the cute little Yukata dragonfly below. I may add a few more white hexies to show that it was a deliberate choice--not a mistake.
