Amish Sparkler

Couldn't resist adding the lively little border to this simple block.  I think it looks quite contemporary  now.  The design is from the Elm Creek Quilts series.  Made it into a pillow for a very special person, and I hope it suits her taste.

Is It Monday Already?

Time flies when you're having fun, for sure!  My Monday Morning Count is only 93.  But I have a good excuse.  My Fractured quilt from QBL has been a pleasant distraction.  It measures 60' square now.  I am trying to decide if it is big enough.  The pattern calls for queen size, but who cares.  I am just so eager to get this quilted.

All That Jazz

Look at this jazzy duo on the way to class at Quilting By the Lake!  I could tell from the stripes and  smiles that I was going to have a ball.  And these gals did set quite a pace for the rest of us.   Kathy's class "Fractured" turned out to produce a medley of solo take offs on her single design.

Lisa and her colorful melody going with her black & white fabric rhythm section.

Earamichia had some cool moves as she rotary cut.  You should see that girl iron!

And Victoria's Juki was still smokin' after she completed her Queen top.   Not big enough for her, however.  Double wide King size is what she will finally have after adding a few more rows of Z's.

Speaking of Z's...this ole girl managed to get a crib-size version done between naps.  These colors give off a smokey tone.  Think I'll title this quilt "Blue Note."

Kathy orchestrated this 2-day symphony and we're all hoping for an encore!!!

Go to bumblebeansinc.blogspot.com for much, much more.....  I need another nap here.

B & W

Have a basketful of blue hexies.  My Monday Morning Star count is 81.  I am adding some whites to the mix now.  I think this might just become the Blue & White quilt that I have never made.  Liking it so far....

BWF

"Basting With Friends" is my new favorite pastime.  Had fun sewing my hexies with a local minigroup this week.  I know many quilters still do everything by hand...and are very productive, too.  They apparently are not addicted to "Words With Friends" like me.  My Monday Morning Star Count is 63 this week...not remarkable, but still growing.  Many thanks to my friends-- online and off--who give me  great ideas and support!

MMSC III

Have 40 basted hexies  in my Monday Morning Star Count - week 3.  As usual, my quilts evolve as I work.  I like the way these look individually.  In fact,  I may not join them at all,  but rather applique them as I did my tumbling blocks.  All suggestions are most welcome.  I know that popular opinion has already approved M. Piggy.  Will keep basting...
