I love these traditional Cat's Cradle blocks made with Cherrywoods. They look modern to me, but then again--I have trouble with categories. Who cares, anyway! I know what I like...
I agree with you about categories - what one likes seems to be a good definition of who you are, rather than a given set of rules defining who you are, and since art is an expression of oneself . . . Categories do have a place, but they don't need to be in control.
