Size Matters

We swapped HST's in my Needle Arts group at the library.  So much fun to arrange the great variety of batiks in this Hanging Diamonds pattern...

I stitched them up today and was amazed how much smaller they became.  The 2 1/2" HSTs shrank to 2" and I think lost some of their charm.  What do you think?

  1. No lost charm, you just need more!

  2. I second Smazoochie - make more, but I have to say I do like the look of the slightly larger triangles. Lovely and colourful - love batiks.

  3. I like my triangles to be bigger too, Helen. I agree that they lose something in the tininess factor which is lovely and present when they are larger. Twenty percent of their real estate is lost in stitching them up at that size and 20% is a lot.

I'm trying to design a baby quilt for my sister's dog groomer and HSTs keep popping into my head--may wind up going that route myself here shortly.
