Victoria is stitching her new fashion garment on the road! Yes, she is wearing her new take-along project and driving to New Jersey to visit the Brownstone Quilters meeting. This girl does not waste a minute when the light turns red!
We had such a beautiful outing, starting out at Encyclopedia's neighborhood. Isn't this a great color combo for a quilt? I think I see ochre next door to mauve and looking very good.
Speaking of color.....Gwen Marsden's trunk show was tops. Her lecture was as light hearted as her quilts. Well, I just think she is a treasure....and I would go anywhere to see her....and I do.
I'm a big Gwen fan too! Glad you got to see her in your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Gwen twice, and took a class once. Still haven't finished that class project, though, lol - quilt colors are everywhere, aren't they? I noticed ochre and mauve in my living room oriental rug. :)
ReplyDeleteSo great yesterday right? Sorry to miss you at lukes..we were a few minutes late!! I enjoyed yesterday so much... hugs!! (I also got so (sew) much done!!) hehe!
ReplyDeleteI'm so totally jealous! Would love love love to see a Gwen Marsden trunk show!
ReplyDeleteYou two sure know how to hit the good places!
ReplyDeleteGwen is coming to our part of the woods next month. I'm sulking because I can't take her class...
ReplyDeleteIt was a fantabulous time...topped off with a bit of Bobby Flay. Your face was priceless when you tasted it....smiles.
ReplyDeleteI love Gwen. I drove to Nebraska - 14 hours away - to take a couple of classes and hear a lecture from her. Wonderful trip and well worth it!! I would do it again.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of Victoria stitching at the light... hehehehe! Totally her though. Like a stitching Energizer bunny!! Very cool that you got to see Gwen, would have loved to seen her. I have several of her books and love her style.
