Back!
After what seems a lifetime, I am back on again. Am luckier than many folks here on Long Island, however. It will be a very long haul for those who lost everything. But everyone has been so friendly and helpful so far, that I do expect miracles. I lost electric power but had heat. My friend Kerrin asked me to keep her parakeet warm since she had no heat at home. So darling Lily entertained me while I cut a zillion more postage stamps. She has a song and dance act which is just as good as any on Letterman. I think she deserves a quilted cage cover for her efforts!

Hello Helen, glad to see you back safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteSO glad to be back!
DeleteSo pleased things are as well as can be expected with you. Storms really test our metal -- in my experience, most people prove themselves.
ReplyDeleteOh Kay, sigh of relief. I have wondered how you fared. Little birds can e such company can't they? Love the postage stamp progress.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had company :0) and a warm house too.
ReplyDeleteLily is my granddaughter name :0)
Happy Sewing
Yay!! I am glad to hear you are well and safe and sound!! Having company is a good thing too! I am sure she will appreciate the quilted cage cover.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are OK... I was worried about you when I didn't see you in Houston, MOM!
ReplyDeleteSooo glad that you are okay!
ReplyDeleteI posted on your last post... would you like more fabric stamps?
Glad you are ok. What was it about crazy last week that had us all cutting up fabric to stay sane? I started a new quilt too, 2.5" squares (monsters compared to yours), but all that cutting kept me calm.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you had heat, and that your home is OK. I've been thinking about you.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear that you are safe and warm. You have been in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that everything's okay with you Helen, sounds like we both came out of the storm very lightly, we're so fortunate :)
