Old sweatshirt becoming
a new jacket for Spring
Fall version
I love these comfy jackets. Easy to make --- Just open up an extra large sweatshirt, remove cuffs, cover with scraps and stitch lines across in both directions. Then sew up sides, cut front open, and finish hems with a zigzag. Finally...throw it in the wash and let it fray into a interesting texture. This is not for neatniks, but perfect for us quilters who are always covered in loose threads anyway!
Cute AND comfy, what's not to like? Great idea!
ReplyDeleteYou do this so stylishly. I'm not one bit surprised!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I have a sweatshirt that could use some decorating. And I like the idea of wearing something that's supposed to have threads on it. I won't have to pick them off.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen it described so clearly and simply. I may have to try this! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea! I must raid my cupboard this minute and start snipping... Just my kind of project: thank you for an excellent idea! JJ
