Yes, the Boston bombing is such a shock. Good thing for sewing--"rebuilding" as you say. Your silk blocks are divine.

Vicki~ I back the silks with lightweight fusible interfacing and then I do English Paper Piecing. The hand sewing is slow, but I enjoy the process.
