 Celebrated my special day at Citifield with those Amazing Mets...and they WON!!!   And it was Tom Seaver Bobblehead Day, too.   It's a great life....

....and some old fabric friends that simply have to come home and live with you again.   Had a great time in Paducah and the goodies to prove it!  More quilt photos to come.....

Michael's Book Party

You can probably guess who was there by hubby's side .....

as guests posed near favorite works of art.   It was a very special event.  I am going to put away my quilting now and curl up with my new book!

Following the Stars

I went to the AQS show in Paducah last week and guess who I found.....Eleanor Burns, naturally!  She has been a favorite for good reasons.  She's funny and fun and still gracious after all these years.  Signing books for all her devoted followers with a smile and a joke or two.  Doesn't take herself too seriously... the secret of her charm, I believe.

And look who was there with her new book....the lovely Marie Bostwick...also signing and engaging us folks in conversation.  Notice how her hands add to the story.  I predict another bestseller here....and another...

And my dear friend Sherry Southgate who is a first-timer at Paducah.  Met her years ago in an applique class and we became instant friends.  She has mastered the art beautifully and is becoming well known in Canada.    Claims her hubby Albert gives her color advice.   Says he can hardly keep up with all she is doing now  (I know the feeling).  He's a busy guy, too, being a golf pro and hopping all over the globe to chase that little white ball.  Great seeing all these gifted artists in person.   Plan to post more photos from the show just as soon as I unpack all the fabric I bought at the show....

Tripping to Paramus

Victoria is stitching her new fashion garment on the road! Yes, she is wearing her new take-along project and driving to New Jersey to visit the Brownstone Quilters meeting. This girl does not waste a minute when the light turns red!

We had such a beautiful outing, starting out at Encyclopedia's neighborhood. Isn't this a great color combo for a quilt? I think I see ochre next door to mauve and looking very good.

Speaking of color.....Gwen Marsden's trunk show was tops. Her lecture was as light hearted as her quilts. Well, I just think she is a treasure....and I would go anywhere to see her....and I do.

Spring is...

Spring is bustin' out all over!!! My cherry blossoms are the cheeriest sight from my back door.

But even cheerier is my new quilt from Victoria. It will welcome all my visitors as they arrive at my front door. This house is very happy!!!
