Nope... piece a cake when you do English paper piecing. I tame that silk with lightweight fusible interfacing. It is working well, but slow going. Another lifetime project maybe?
I'm working on some in 1800s reprints, slow going cause I have put it down for so long! A strip from each of my prints will make it a big!!! quilt. Cut a strip from each of the same fabrids for my log cabin qullt too. It has been on the back burner for some time too.
Sweet!

Your first comment about a close finish was quite prophetic! Love your silk blocks, this will be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGlad I watched that whole game to the end. Now if I can just keep making these blocks...
DeleteI like those blocks! Aren't they tough to make? Y seams with slippery fabric?
