This yo-yo quilt caught my eye and may be just the layout I want for my Indigo hexies. Article reads "For an on-the-go project, stitch a bevy of yo-yos and secure them to strips..."
Question: How many hexies in a bevy? So far I have 125.
That basket of hexies makes me want to put my hand in it. Do you find yourself wanting to pull them out and play with them? Blues are beautiful. I like the yo-yo strip idea. Will you sew them to the strips by hand or machine?
I want to hand applique them to strips wherever I happen to be. Sewing the strips together later on the machine, of course. I look forward to seeing this quilt grow!
You might not know until you start the project....I like this idea, will you leave a space between the hexies?

Oh yes, at least an inch. Want to separate them with lots of whites.
DeleteLove those indigo hexies! Can't wait to see what you do with this bevy. oxox

DeleteSounds like a beautiful idea!
ReplyDeleteAnd blue on white, great choice!
It will be a lovely quilt. And it is a great idea and maybe I steal it from you, just in red and white, maybe I need to finish some UFOs first.

Great idea! I haven't seen it done before. It'll be a fun hand project with those strips.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great layout idea! It'll be gorgeous in blue & white! I'd say you've certainly got a bevy of little hexagons!
